She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Turner and Hazel Finley Turner; her husband William Harold Cater; her daughter Linda Darlene Cater; her siblings, James, Clyde Turner and Willie Mae Orr; and her grandchildren, Terri Cater and Andrew Cheek.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Dale Cater (June) of Piedmont, William Voyde Cater (Brenda) of Westminster, Vicki Cater Compton (Charles) of Fair Play and Barbara Joyce Cater of Fair Play; and her siblings, Grady Turner of Ore City, TX, Nell Bowen of Fair Play, Peggy McPherson of Fair Play and Reba Bowen of Greenville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.
