He was predeceased by: his wife Anita Louise Cox Mahan; his parents, Laudis Mahan and Arlene Winningham Mahan; and his stepbrother Timothy Sigler. He is survived by: his children, James Milton Mahan (Carol Sue), Sherry Lynn Cimas (Dan) and Mark Walter Mahan (Jeanne); his grandchildren, Christopher, Austin (Phoebe), Danielle (Josh), Mary, Hannah and Olivia; and his great grandchild Lucas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim's memory to a firehouse of one's choice.
