He was predeceased by: his parents, William Powell Artis (Bill) and Mildred Amelia Artis (DeBerry); his sisters, Renee Amelia Artis and Vonda Kaye Artis; his children, Christonia, Lemuel (Alta), Garcelle, Joh and Janelle; his brother Michael Artis; his grandchildren, Christopher and Leauntea; and his great grandchildren, Christopher (CJ), Malia and Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Keturah; and his aunt Ruby DeBerry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a long list of friends.
