He is survived by: his wife Carol Hughes Gainey of Eutawville, SC; his sons, Justin Gainey and Nicholas Wall; his siblings, Larry Gainey, Bobbie Jean Collins and Flossie Nafziger; and his stepchildren, Diane C. Hayden and Wayne Armstrong.
