He was predeceased by: his father Johnnie Hampton, Sr.; and his brothers, Johnnie Hampton, Jr. and Wilbur Bobby Guess. He is survived by: his mother Queenie Vogt Hampton of Greensboro, NC.; his wife Rudean Young Hampton; his children, Jonathan Hampton (Patricia) of Durham, NC and Kendall Hampton of Killeen, Texas; his siblings, Glenn Hampton, Nathaniel Hampton (Diane), Patricia McBride (Charles) of Greensboro, NC and Jeanette Hampton of Greensboro, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Montgomery (Andrew), Beverly V. Guess and Charles Young of Eutawville, SC. He is also survived by three aunts, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
