She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Pye and Leonard W. Carter; and her siblings, Laura Rud, Ruth Redding, Elizabeth Grantham, Lila Levin, Jimmie Wheeler and William Carter.
She is survived by: her sons, John C. Myers, Jr. (Julia) and Robert L. Myers (Margie); her stepdaughter Elaine Wilkie (David); and her siblings, Climmie Batts, Shirley Smith, Jeannette Nord and Robert Carter. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and Many Great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials in Edith's memory may be made to the Stono Baptist Church, 953 Main Road, Johns Island, SC 29455.
