She was predeceased by: her parents, Hezekiah Heyward and Sadie L. Bostick Heyward; and her brothers, Gary and Hezekiah Heyward, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Thomas (Yesenia) and, DC (Richard Sealey, Jr.) of Washington; her grandchildren, Sadie, Thomas, Jr., Illycia, Cameron, Kelvin, Selenah, Ka'Liyah, Kayden, Joel and Kaylee; her siblings, Ruth of Summerville, SC, Valerie Heyward of Summerville, SC, Yvette (Willie), Leroy Bostick (Debbie) of Pasedena, MD, Kelvin Heyward (Margaret) and Upper Malboro, MD; and her godchildren, Tia Heyward and Robyn Housey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, as ordered by the Governor for the State of South Carolina, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending the graveside service will be required to wear a mask.
