It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa Lee Ruth of Estill, South Carolina, born in Hampton, South Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Phillips Garvin and George Garvin, Sr.; her husband Frank Ruth; her daughter Drea Ruth; and her brothers, Murray Garvin, George Garvin, Jr. and Gerald Garvin.
She is survived by: her children, Kadra Garvin (Alfonza) of Hardeeville, SC, Sharon Buckner (Jerome) of Varnville, SC, Franklyn Ruth of Varnville, SC and Nathan Ruth (Gwendolyn) of Estill, SC; her siblings, Madlin Drayton of Summerville, SC, Elouise Rhett (Ernest) of Ridgeland, SC and Leroy Garvin (Shirley) of Pineland, SC; her daughter-in-law Melissa Ruth of Islandton, SC; her siblings-in-law, Thelma Garvin of Pineland, SC, Bamma of Springfield, MA, Carolyn Garvin of Springfield, MA, Libby Scriven of Estill, SC, Johnny Ennis of Estill, SC and Dennis; her sons, Alan Brooks (Stephanie), Kelvin Gordon (April) and Justin Edwards (Ryekaya); her godchildren, Doannett Smith, Felecia Drayton and Janae Mills; and her adoptive daughter Palicia Owens. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
