She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas "Orrie" Jarrell of Oregon and Enice Lightsey Jarrell; her siblings, Jimmy Jarrell, Betty Fincher and Gloria Sineath; and her son-in-law Jamie Nettles.
She is survived by: her husband J. W. DuBois; her daughters, Mylinda D. Nettles of Scotia and Bonnie D. Smiley (Danny) of Beaufort; her grandchildren, Tony Nettles of Estill, Amanda Nettles (Rob) of Varnville, Trey Smiley (Sarah Beth) of Beaufort, Caleb Smiley (Lauryn) of Beaufort and Sara Salazar (Josh) of Beaufort; her great grandchildren, Morgan, Walker, Gage, Chandler, Ava, Carter, Brooks, Oliver, Lennon and Sullivan; and her sisters, Martha Smith of Beaufort, Geraldine Skinner of Varnville and Beverly Cave of Lexington.
