He was predeceased by: his parent John L.; his former wife Sylvia Jean Montgomery Hughes; and his siblings, Harold Dean Hughes, Ronald K. Hughes and Johnnie Faye Hughes.
He is survived by: his parent Ila Lawrence Hughes; his spouse Kathy Burch Hughes; his children, Tammy Hughes Couch (William) of Fountain Inn, Wendy Hughes Robinson (John) of Hull, GA, Clint Eric Letourneau (Ramona) of Enoree and Curt Alan Letourneau of Raleigh, NC; and his brother Hugh Hughes (Betty) of Enoree.
