He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Hazel Simmons Dyer; and his brother Steve Dyer. He is survived by: his son Chris Dyer of Hanahan, S. C.; and his siblings, Iris Waldrop of Enoree and Jimmy Dyer of Greer.
