He was predeceased by: his daughter Angela Joy Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Judy Owens Simmons; his daughter Julie Davis (Tim) of Woodruff; his siblings, Catherine Simmons of North Charleston and Danny Simmons of Enoree; and his grandchildren, Caleb Timothy Davis and Bethany Jo Davis.
Due to COVID 19 it is requested that face masks and social distancing be practiced at the graveside.
