He is survived by: his parents, James Rufus and Dianne Fulmer Laurence; his stepfather Robert Rodgers of Edgefield; and his brothers, Joel King Laurence (Teri) of Aiken, Charles Stevens Laurence (Shannon) of Mayo and William Augustus Reynolds of Camden.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 1530 Drayton Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
