She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Walter and Carey Etheredge Litton; her husband William Dewey Heflin, Jr.; and her brothers, William Howard Litton and Andrew Walter Litton, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Heflin Busnardo (Marc) of Elgin, SC, Janice Heflin Southerland of Stafford, VA and Lori Andrea Buckler of Colonial Beach, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
