He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Eddie Jackson and Thalia Ann Windham Jackson; his brothers, George Edward Jackson and Robin Alexander Jackson; and his grandmother Rose Bowen.
He is survived by: his children, Walter LaVan Jackson, Jr. of Elgin and Amanda Faye Jackson (Robert McKinzie) of Elgin; his brother Michael Cary Jackson (Sheran) of Winnsboro; his grandchildren, Baylee Jackson, Walter Graham Jackson and Christopher Reese Carnes; the mother of his children Debbie Branham; and his former spouse Gail Floyd.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery (1177 Wildwood Ln, Elgin, SC 29045).
