It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin Blair Gates Sr. of Elgin, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Vinson and Geraldine Jones Vinson. He is survived by: his children, Marsha Crownover, Crystal Lawson, Jamie Gates, Kevin Gates Jr., Michael Paul Gates, Teresa Gates, Janette Gates, Keimary Gates, Joshua Gates and Jorvice Gates; and his siblings, Robin Lee Walker, Karen Gunner, Jimmy Vinson, David Rhett Vinson and Tom Thumb Vinson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
