He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Elaine Ray West; his parents, Herbert Lee West and Ollie Mae Haskell West; and his siblings, Charles "Charlie" West Jr., Carl Ellis West, Mary Elizabeth Sumter, Johnnie Lee West (Wanda), Paul West and Roger West.
He is survived by: his son Timothy Shane West (Janett Ruth) of Duncan, Okla.; his stepdaughters, Cynthia Morris of Elgin and Tonya Ogletree (Charles) of Hazlehurst; and his sister Eva Mae Dula. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
