David Michael Flynn Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Michael Flynn of Elgin, South Carolina, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on March 9, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Flynn, Jr. and Catherine Flynn (Wiltzius); and his daughter Eileen Flynn Turnage. He is survived by: his wife Paula Fry Flynn; his children, David Michael Flynn, Jr. (Kylie Kavanagh) of Winston-Salem, NC, Moira Suzanne Flynn of Hoover, AL, Daniel Paul Flynn of Helena, AL, Patrick William Flynn (Sharon) of Mason, OH and Terence Colin Flynn (Debbie) of Elgin, SC.; and his siblings, Suzanne Whitehead of Elgin, SC and Jerome Flynn of Valparaiso, IN.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Flynn felt deeply about helping the needy in the community, and in lieu of flowers, he would prefer contributions be made by family and friends to a charity of their choosing.
