He was predeceased by: his parents, George Harris and Evelyn Craft Harris; and his siblings, Tillman Harris, Ellen Dixon, Daniel Harris and Sylvester Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Goodwin Harris; his children, Sonya Harris, Krystle Harris and David Harris, Jr; and his siblings, Pete Harris, Jeanette Pierce, Roberta Qualls, Martha Cornelius, Melvin Harris and Coleal Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Disabled Veterans Association.
