He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gary and Jessie Leo Sanders; his sons, Danny Sanders and Gary Sanders; and his siblings, Furman Sanders, Grady Sanders, George Sanders, Sara Bowen, Irene Sanders, Hetty Brewer and Ruby Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Inez Bishop Sanders; and his sons, George Sanders (Christie), Walter Sanders (Sally) and Marc Sanders (Michelle). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
