It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brett Lane Padgett of Elgin, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 21, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfather L. David Padgett. He is survived by: his parents, Brad L. Padgett of Elgin and Susan Elizabeth Haney Padgett of Columbia; his stepmother Susan Kaye Yaeger; his brother Matthew Brad Padgett (Lana) of St. George, SC; his stepsister Rebekah Campbell (Ian) of Summerville, SC; his nephews, Matthew Sawyer Padgett and Luca Campbell; his niece Lucy Elaine Padgett; and his grandmothers, Brenda Crain (Bud) of Ridgeway, SC and Alice "Mimi" Padgett of Columbia. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
