It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Sanders Varn (Ehrhardt, South Carolina), born in Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eugene William Sanders, Jr. and Grace Crosby Sanders; her husband Henry Brunson Varn, Sr.; her children, Fay Helmly Whitehead (Brad) of Ridgeville, Elizabeth Grace Varn of Ehrhardt and Henry Brunson Varn, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; her brothers, Stephen Eugene Sanders (Betty Llew) of Walterboro and Eugene William "Sandy" Sanders, III (Carol) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Lillian Shellie Whitehead and Crosby Hilton Whitehead; her mother-in-law Gwen Brunson Varn; her siblings-in-law, Gerhard DeLoach Varn, III, Lucinda Varn Collins, Mary Ida Varn Padgett (Roger) and Beverly A. Harrison; and her father-in-law Gerhard DeLoach Varn, Jr. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to either the Camps of the Southern Methodist Church or to Ehrhardt Southern Methodist Church, care of Post Office Box 94, Ehrhardt, South Carolina 29081.
