We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2023, at the age of 87, Marvin Carter of Ehrhardt, South Carolina, born in Bamberg, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ben Tillman; his son Lance Benjamin Carter Sr.; his grandson Brandon Carter; and his siblings, Mary Ann Dannelly, Harold Carter and Philip Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Judy Carter; his children, Debora Cox (Keith) of Lexington, Lana Zehr (Jeff) of Mauldin, Blaine Carter of Lexington, Garrett Carter (Margaret) of Walterboro and Bart Carter of Walterboro; and his stepchildren, Scott Halter (Lanie) of Charleston, Candy Gibson (Ken) of Mine Hill, N. J., Tiffany Halter of Ridgeland, Logan Halter (Vivian) of Ridgeland and Immi Halter. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, many loving nieces and a nephew.
