She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurie B. Richardson and Gladys Rivers Richardson of Hampton; her husband Percy L. Hiers of Ehrhardt; her brother-in-law Jack Long; her son-in-law Johnnie Schaffer; her brother John L. "Jack" Richardson; her sister-in-law Elsie Crapse Richardson; and her sister Faye Richardson Long.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hiers (Gracie), David Hiers, Jane Hiers Schaffer and Kathryn Hiers Hargett (Alan); her grandchildren, Thomas Hiers, Graci Hiers, Katrina Arbogast (Chuck), Ashley Whitehead (Brad), Sam Hargett, Rennie Hargett, Jenny Schaffer, Chandler Hiers, Tori Carter (Clint) and Scarlett Kinard; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Lyons, Amelia Copeland, Colin Carter, Emberlee Kohlhepp, Eliana Kohlhepp, Catherine Arbogast, Caroline Arbogast, Sadie Grace Whitehead and Brantley Whitehead.
