He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Matthews and Mary Jane Anderson Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lee of Coward, SC; his son-in-law David; his children, Roxanne M. Ancheta (David) and Chad Wayne Matthews; his grandson Conner Jack Ancheta; and his siblings, Glenn Matthews, Barbara Sauls and Rose Kinsey.
