It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Debbie Johnson of Effingham, South Carolina, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Lloyd Cooper and Wildred Calcutt Cooper; and her brother Cecil Cooper. She is survived by: her husband Ernest "Ernie" Johnson; her child Angel Lingerman (Bill) of Florence; her grandchildren, Christin Hernandez (Jose), Nicholas Lingerman (Bethany) and Zachary Lingerman; her great grandchildren, Noah Hernandez, Natalie Hernandez and Mateo Hernandez; and her brother Ricky Cooper (Diane) of Dillon.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (4221 Sheminally Rd, Pamplico, SC 29583).
