She was predeceased by: her husbands, James W. Grooms and Curtis Tanner; her son-in-law James Aycock; and her parents, Jess Willard and Cathryn Chancy.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Childers (Donald), Karen Aycock, Carol Thomason (Chris) and James Grooms II (Jeniffer); her grandchildren, Cayce Mooneyhan, Tamara Childers, Nathan Love, Chase, Spencer Gartzke, Jeffrey (Allison), Ethen (Sarinya "Noina"), Holden Holliday (Krystal), Anna, Olivia Thomason, Jessica, Emily, Samantha and Jamie Grooms; her great grandchildren, Haven, Easton Mooneyhan, Kylan Beck, Elwyn Rae Holliday, Helena Claire Holliday and Suthasini "Nuueas" Songsri; her son-in-law Bishop Don Childers; and also Bishop David Wilks.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Effingham Church of God (149 McLaughlin Rd, Effingham, SC 29541). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
