It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beatrice Echols-Clinton (Effingham, South Carolina), who passed away on August 7, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Echols and Ethel Peanut Echols; her husband James J. C. Clinton; her son Charles Clinton; and her siblings, Margaret Ashley, Lucille Jordan, Edna Mitchell, James Echols, Albert Echols, Nathaniel Echols, Levern Echols, Norbell Ashley and Mack Ashley.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Cheyenne Morris; her niece Gwendolyn Mack; her grandchildren, Charles L. Clinton, Sr. (Detrice), Charletta Glenn (Willie) and Flissa McEachern (Freddie); her daughter-in-law Doris Smith Clinton; and her siblings, Uneedia Deas, Dorothy Thomas Phillips and Ethel Ashley Perry. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren.

The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
