She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert LeGrande Strickland and Gertrude Agnes Jones Strickland; her brother Elbert Lee Lovett; and the father of her children Alva Lynn Byrd. She is survived by: her sons, Albert "Frog" Byrd (Nicole) of Pamplico and Bradley Byrd (Michelle) of Effingham; her grandchildren, Timothy Odom of Effingham, Caleb James of Effingham, Logan Byrd of Pamplico, Gabriel Byrd of Pamplico and Adalynn Byrd of Pamplico; her siblings, Margie Huff (Gregg) of Manning, Carrie Oddo (David) of Effingham, Dianne Giordano (Donnie) of Timmonsville and Cleon Lovett (Kathy) of Effingham; and also Lady Bug.
