It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Elizabeth Sills of Edisto Island, South Carolina, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father James Watson, Sr.; and her sisters, Beulah Mae Curnell, Patricia Miller (Ricky) and Jacqueline Coaxum (Louis). She is survived by: her son Maurice Watson; her goddaughter Demetria Nole; her mother Evelena Hutchinson; her siblings, Audreay Watson, Wanda Jenkins, James Watson, Jr. (Tomeka) and Barbara Ann Wilson; her close friends, Alicia McKelvey and Gerome Brown; and her cousins, Robert and Ellen Bailey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
