He was predeceased by: his wife Carlotta A. Stuart; his parents, Frank Nelson and Ena Miles; and his brother Kenneth O. Stuart. He is survived by: his children, Vernal Johnson, Francis L. Stuart, Geneva A. Norwood, Calvin E. Stuart, Jacqueline M. Stuart Brown and Kim Lynch; and his siblings, Addie Nelson, Jerome Simmons and John Williams.
