Jan Buttron wrote a sympathy message

“Just learned of Uncle Bills passing. Gale and Paul, (and the rest of the family), I am so sorry for your loss. I was just talking about Uncle Bill the other day. I was telling my husband how big the anchor was on the USNS Marshfield. Still remember visiting there as a kid. Every time I hear about satellites I think of him, or when my husband and I go to our boat. Uncle Bill was such a sweet person. I know he will be greatly missed.”
