With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl R. Taylor of Edisto Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, C. O. Taylor and Mildred Taylor; and his siblings, Mark Taylor, Larry Taylor, Keith Taylor, Myrna Stokes and Tanya Goff.

He is survived by : his wife Ellen Duncan Taylor; his children, Kyle Taylor (Dina) of Blythewood, Kim Morgan (Randy) of Charleston and Todd Taylor of Lexington; his grandchildren, Brianna Taylor, Colby Taylor, Bradley Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Austin Morgan and Conner Morgan; his great grandchild Ava Morgan; and his siblings, Amelia Schaffer and Otis Taylor (Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church (2164 SC-174, Edisto Island, SC 29438).

In lieu of flowers the family requests that charitable donations in remembrance of Carl may be made to: The Ellen Taylor Foundation for Junior Shaggers, The Brianna Taylor Foundation for the Arts - Carl R. Taylor Scholarship for dance education, or the Hall of Fame Foundation.
