He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Nelson Couick and Mattie Jean Warlick Couick. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ross Couick; his daughters, Patricia C. Leard (Matthew) of Edgemoor, SC and Barrie C. Tinker of York, SC; and his siblings, Floyd Benfield of Seven Devils, NC, Barbara Benfield of Lugoff, SC, Jean Barker of Bluffton, SC and Saundra King of Atlanta. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
