It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dot Mitchell of Edgemoor, South Carolina, born in Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on March 22, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lyle and Jessie Phillips Simpson; and her siblings, Ruth Simpson, Roy Simpson, Betty Avery, Mary Lyle Murphy and Ann Bass.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne Mitchell (Ann) of Edgemoor, Warren Mitchell (Doris) of Edgemoor and Sue Sanders (Chip) of West Union, SC; her siblings, Carol Reid and Donnie Simpson; and her grandchildren, Erica Mitchell, Chad Mitchell, Casey Mitchell, Mitchell Sanders, Nathan Mitchell, Cory Mitchell and Joey Sanders. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
