He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gass; his children, Gary Gass, Sr., Shirly Gass, Mary Frances Ogle, Norma Smith (Jeff) and Janice Gass; his stepchildren, Ira Main, Paul Main, Daniel Main, Lillian Kraus (John) and Rachel Main; and his siblings, Vilas Eugene Gass (Cindy) and Carol Gass. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
