He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carrie Mae Booth Mims and Thomas L. Mims Sr.; his daughter Skyler Chance; and his siblings, Lois Mims, Cathy Hutchinson (Wayne), Julie Mims, Lisa Turner (Monroe), Niki Cockrell (Jason), David Mims (Sandy), Mark Mims (Jean), Earnest, Tom and Beth Mims. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
