He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Abney and Sallie Effie Moore Mims; and his siblings, Ida Mae Heath, Joe and Boone Mims.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Bledsoe Mims of Hunters Run; and his children, Lee Mims (Jenni), Chad Mims (Courtney) and Becky Moore (Evan). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
