He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Clay and Fay Marshal Neal; his daughter Naomi Denise Neal; and his sisters, Wanda Loudermilk and JoAnn Wells.
He is survived by: his children, Schondria Yvonne Highman (Doug), Joseph "Joe Bob" Neal (Diane) and Thomas "Tommy" Clay Neal (Tina); and his sister Margaret Holcombe. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church (1194 Meeting Street Rd, Edgefield, SC 29824).
