It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pauline Johnson of Edgefield, South Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Gilchrist and Eliza Gilchrist; her former husband Clinton Leroy Settles (Sonny); her spouse Thomas Johnson; her children, Eartha Settles, Ricky Settles of Washington, D. C. and Bruce Settles of Washington, D. C.; and her grandchild Rashad Settles of Washington, D. C.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Larry Settles of Washington, D. C, Theodora Settles of Washington, D. C, Sylvester Settles of Washington, D. C, Theodore Brown of Washington, D. C, Tarik Settles of Washington, D. C, Tarisha Settles of Washington, D. C, Marquett Settles of Washington, D. C, Sharice Settles of Washington, D. C, Williams Cox of Washington, D. C and Pauline; her sisters, Maggie Gordon (Wilbur) of Edgefield, SC and Geneva Herring; and her nephew David Gilchirst of McCormick, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and sorrowing friends.
