He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyman Tyler and Elizabeth Tyler; his brother Clinton Wyman Tyler Jr.; and his brother-in-law Walter R. "Dick" Harper. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Keane Tyler; his daughters, Beth T. Reynolds and Terri T. Mayson (Bruce); his grandchildren, Aubrey Shields, Noelle Booth (Dan), Sarah Mayson and Tyler Mayson (Mary Anna); his great grandchildren, Caroline, Zane Shields, Tinsley, McKinley Booth, Brenden Mayson and Stetson Mayson; his sister Sonia Tyler Harper; and his sister-in-law Myrtle Baston Tyler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Buck's memory may be made to the South Carolina Waterfowl Association's Camp Woodie (https://wildlifeedcenter.org), 8444 Old River Road, Pinewood, SC 29125, or to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources's Take One Make One.

“Cousin Buck was so pleasant to talk to. As a youngster I traveled with Grandmother Willette Cornwell to visit Buck in North Augusta. Buck would take me out to the shop to admire the mounts. Years later my two sons Gabe and Grayson would visit with Cousin Buck in Clarks Hill every year to put out the Christmas tree. Wonderful memories. So thankful to have known such a good man. Sincere condolences, Tim, Eddie, Gabe, Grayson Cornwell”
