He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Owen Smiley; and his parents, Robert Smiley and Vonceil Rogers Smiley. He is survived by: his children, Regina Gordon and Michael Smiley (Chandra); his stepdaughter Becky Burgos (David); his brother Robert Smiley; and his grandchildren, Sophia, Brock Smiley, Meredith and Anna Ryan.
Due to COVID-19 health concerns a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
