He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Smith and Boyce Smith Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Zachary David Smith (Leona) and Sara Elizabeth Searcy (Jason); his grandchildren, Wyatt David Smith and Emily Sara Searcy; and his siblings, Peggy Band, Susan Moore, Boyce Smith and James Smith.
