He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed and Ruth Pruiett Mims, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Diane Lee, Cindy Mims, Patricia Mims, Edward "Rocky" Mims, Kyle Mims and Kimberly Mims; and his sisters, Jean Hughes and Joyce Cook. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
