She was predeceased by: her father John T. Fries; her parents-in-law, Harald and Alberta Torgesen; and her brother-in-law Barry Torgesen (late Rosemary). She is survived by: her husband Harald John Torgesen, Jr. (Hal); her sons, Jay (Jennifer), Mike (Karen), Ben (Amanda) and Tedd (Johanna); her grandchildren, Caleb, Taylor, Lyla, Dean, Isabella, Adrianna, Brooklyn, Duke and Hank; her mother Anna Carolyn Fries; her siblings, Ted Fries (Jane), Chris Fries (Roseann), Jane Pitts (late Alex) and Virginia Pitts (Don); and her siblings-in-law, Bill Torgesen (Doreen) and Joan Doyle (late Tom). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be given to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Building Fund, 305 Buncombe St., Edgefield, SC 29824.
