He was predeceased by: his parents, Bristow Cecil and Mellie Louise Browder Thomson; and his siblings, Julius Thomson, Benjamin Thomson, Mary Celeste Thomson McCants and Francis T. Mims.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy A. Thomson; his children, William "Bill" Clayburn Thomson Jr. and Tammy Lee Shannon; his grandchildren, William Matthew Shannon and Nicole "Nicky" Lee Shannon; his siblings, Nellie T. Hannah of Andrews and John T. Thomson (Marion) of Andrews; and his sister-in-law Barbara H. Thomson.
