It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Swafford Merck of Easley, South Carolina, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas H. Swafford and Rhoda E. Galloway Swafford; and her brother John James Swafford. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Samuel Merck of Easley; her children, Crystal Morris (Jamie) of Easley, Lisa Cope (Rodney) of Pickens, Lance Merck of Easley and Clint Merck (Jessica) of Pickens; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Anna, Maddie, Rosalie, Tate and Charlotte; her sisters, Alberta Gantt of Pickens, Rita Raby of Central and Linda Hooper (Bill) of Sunset; and her sister-in-law Vivian Swafford of West Union.
