He was predeceased by: his parents, Stacy R. Wells, Sr. and Mildred Louise Groover Wells; and his sister Sylvia Wells McDonald. He is survived by: his siblings, Harold Wells of St. Petersburg, FL and Angela Wells Tucker; and his nieces and nephews, Charla Bloomer (Marc) of Easley, SC, Stacie Hargett (Phil) of St. Petersburg, FL, Carla Goodwin (Bill) of Hinesville, GA and Pamela Russo (Rick) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by numerous cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
