She was predeceased by: her parents, E. P. "Pink" Cassell and Rebecca Gilstrap Cassell; and her son Samuel Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Fulton Herbert Simmons; her daughter Renda Simmons (Jerry); her daughter-in-law Tina Simmons; her grandchildren, Shane Cooper (Ana), Jonathan Cooper, Ashley Cooper, Clark Simmons, Krista Turpin (Jason) and Leslie Simmons; and her great grandchildren, Ryder Simmons, Easton Turpin, Anslee Turpin, Lyla Turpin and Haily Cooper.
