She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollie Whatley and Mary Mason Whatley. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Nathaniel Smith; her sons, Nathan Mark Smith of Greenville and Stephen Claude Smith of Greenville; her brother Wayne Whatley of Callison, SC; and her grandchildren, Reeve Smith, Chelsey Pagan, Savannah Smith, Justin Smith and Danielle Smith. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
